I have a time management tip for you.

You’re ready to go, you’re prepared for the day…and then things go sideways. How do you keep that from happening – or recover when it happens? It’s all about effective time management.

At the top of the hour, ask yourself “What is the best use of my time right now?” You do that at 10 o'clock in the morning and consider what you’d like to accomplish by noon.

At noon you say, “What can I accomplish by 2?” At 2 o'clock, “What can I accomplish by 4?” At 4 o’clock, “What can I complete by the end of the day?”

What you’re doing is called “chunking your day”. This approach will help get you focused, and you know what happens then: the more focused you are, the more productive you’ll be! At the end of the day or the week, you’re bound to say, “That was a great day”, or “Wow – what a great week!”

Try it this week – I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised at the results!
