What do you do first thing in the morning? What is your “morning routine?” They say the first hour of the day sets the tone for the rest of your day. So the question is…what do you do for that crucial first hour? Because if it sets the tone for the rest of the day, it should be something that serves you.
I get up in the morning, have a cup of coffee, and then I pray for 30 minutes, and then meditate for 30 minutes. Then I affirm my day. I write out what I’m going to do. What you see here are my affirmations, that I’ve written out each of the last three days. I want to ensure that I’m going to have a great day today. I want to ensure I’m going to have the least amount of problems possibly, and ensure I’m ready to deal with them if they do come up! I want to ensure that INSTEAD of taking care of myself when I’m NOT healthy, I want to take action to ensure that I’m healthy! That’s playing offense versus of defense – being proactive rather than reactive in your life!
So remember: the first hour of your day sets the tone for the rest of the day. Make sure you incorporate things into your morning routine that will serve YOU and help you be the best you can be!
